Day Twenty - Visit a person in the hospital,  someone you have prayed for
Matthew 25:34  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36   Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

When you read this account of future events we find Jesus telling His disciples, “insomuch as ye have done it unto one of these the least of my brethren,  ye have done it unto me.”  If Jesus was in the hospital,  we would definitely drop everything and go to see Him.  We would love to have an opportunity to show Him how much we care.
Almost every week there is someone in the hospital that we pray for.  In many cases we don’t know the person,  we only know a name and we pray for that name.  Praying is a very important part of healing.  But Jesus in this account is asking us to go beyond just caring in word.  He wants us to show compassion for people by “putting feet” to our words.

What would it be like if you were sick in the hospital and a complete stranger came to see you and told you they were praying for you?  Would that offend you?  Would it encourage you to know that there are more people praying for you than you knew?  Jesus asks us to do this  - visit Him when He was sick,  by  “doing it unto one of these,  the least of my brethren.”

An Exercise to increase my Faith - It may be uncomfortable to go to see someone that you do not know, because you don’t know what to say to them.  That’s where faith comes in.  In obedience to what Jesus desires of us,  we go to them,  and He rewards our faith by giving us words of encouragement and comfort.
